Romantic Cognac

Fancy a bit of romance?

„La Ville d’Art et d’Histoire“

The city of Cognac captivates with historical charm and is considered the cultural source of France's South-West.

Did you know: Cognac's existence dates back to the 13th century. The town was granted its municipal charter as early as 1205.

Ever since, Cognac is considered the epitome of french gourmand, not least because of its homonymous auburn delicacy that has rendered the village somewhat of a cultural & culinary emblem.

Cognac is worth a visit at any time of year. On the last weekend of July, residents and tourists can marvel at, taste and enjoy the diversity of Cognac and Charente's products at the Fête de Cognac. Live music and an incomparable atmosphere make this festival the summery cultural highlight of the region.
